Grocery prices prohibit many households from putting nutritious food on the table. One way to provide healthy options is to start a community garden. It would require land that is designated for growing a variety of plants, possibly an unused, donated plot. Volunteers would bring tools to prepare the soil and build fencing. Tending the garden would require time from those who have bought into the concept of a shared source of food.
Perhaps if we start small, and grow our own garden, it would lead to a desire to share this idea with others and we’d have a community garden.
“You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one….” (John Lennon)
